Our mission is to honor the femininity and values of women under 1.63m tall

– KURSSEL

We design every piece from scratch for the body shape of women under 1m63

What does that mean?

  • Designs created to fit different body types of women under 1.63m, 5'4.
  • Clothing with lengths adapted to the bust, legs and arms of petite women with more delicate frames.
  • Whether classic or oversized, our models maintain proportions designed for women under 1m63, 5'4.
  • French savoir-faire: The entire process of creating the prototypes and production takes place in France to guarantee the highest standards.

Our prices reflect the reality of small-batch production, without excessive margins or artificial discounts intended to provoke impulse purchases.

Why 100% made in France?

Because it guarantees a high and constant level of quality, thanks to traditional and rigorous methods.

Because it drastically reduces the carbon footprint of our production.

Because it allows us to work with respected, well-paid artisans, protected by strict social laws such as paid maternity leave.

French law requires that at least 75% of a garment be made in France in order to obtain the "Made in France" label. Unfortunately, these percentages are not strictly controlled. At KURSSEL, our clothing is 100% made in France; no part of the production is subcontracted abroad. We know who makes each piece, and we are proud of it.

Less stock, more meaning

We produce little.

Voluntarily.

Each KURSSEL design is offered in a limited edition, and often also as a special order (pre-order), using surplus fabrics from other manufacturers' stock. These fabrics are brand new, but would not have been used by those manufacturers; they become our treasure.

This allows us to:

To avoid generating unnecessary stock

To produce only what is desired

To ensure the impeccable quality of each model

To reduce the amount of dormant stock of fabrics from other manufacturers

We reject the dictates of fast fashion.

At KURSSEL, scarcity is a value, not a strategy.

What commitment means to us; our concrete actions

At KURSSEL, our commitment is tangible, not ornamental.

This translates into actions:

  • Working with workshops and factories in France to guarantee good working conditions and fair wages.
  • Reducing our ecological impact by having a very short supply chain
  • Refusing sales, no manipulation to encourage buying, and respect for the work of artisans.
  • Use fabrics from other brands' stock.
  • Using 100% natural fabrics for the good health of our hormones.
  • Slowing down the pace to preserve high quality.
  • Our packaging is FSC certified. Send us a contact form if you would like to see the certificate.
  • Our buttons also come from dormant stocks, otherwise they are made in France.
  • We are completely transparent about the origin of our materials and how they are made, even when we are working with dormant stock already present in France.
